Silas Hoadley, Plymouth, Conn, C.1830, PILLAR & SCROLL shelf clock, with 2-wt wooden movement (upside down version)
CONDITION:
the mahogany case has been refinished; both scrolls broken and repaired. The 2 glasses are original, with some paint loss on the lower. Dial and label are outstanding. This short drop upside down Hoadley movement is rarely seen in a pillar and scroll. Brass finials are solid replacements, discolored chemically. Proper hollow turned finials are available from Fred Ringer. Ht 32"
